Global Connection, Chicago Approach

Opening by 2027, Refettorio Chicago will represent a step forward in Inspiration Corporation’s legacy. It will serve as a venue to transform wasted food into nutritious, delicious meals for hungry people and will provide space to connect, reflect, and celebrate. In partnership with renowned chefs Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore and their organization Food for Soul, Inspiration Corporation is working with local organizations, producers, artists, architects, and community leaders to restore an underused space and transform it into a one-of-a-kind community hub, centered on food. Refettorio Chicago will allow us to expand our meal service program and will substantially help our city meet its food waste reduction goals. Each year, we anticipate:

Serving 38,000 three-course meals

Diverting 25,000 pounds of food from landfills
